This wine is made with 100% estate grown Barbera grapes, and spent an extra 6 months in barrel, producing a deeper color and more complex favor profile. It has bright acidity, light to medium body, red cherry fruit with tobacco. Background of oak, mainly in the nose. Long pleasing finish. Pair with stronger meats and cheeses. Aged 18 months in barrel and 6 months in bottle prior to release.
Our Barbera has won Virginia Governor’s Cup Awards 4 times (2019 GOLD, 2012 Silver, 2014 Silver, 2016 Bronze) and the Monticello Cup Silver Award in 2014.
